My name is Kevin Lytle and I am a senior journalism major. For my beat I plan on covering sports at CSU. I hope to do stories on teams and/or people that aren't usually featured in the media in the area.

Story Ideas

Hey there,

I am Jason, a junior Journalism: New-Ed major. I am super outdoorsy and all that jazz, so for my beat I am going to cover the Fort Collins and Colorado outdoor world. I am going to look at the tourism dollars that are brought into the state from all sorts of outdoor recreation activities. Of course, I want to keep it local, so I think I will also talk about the system of parks Fort Collins has, the financial and planning decisions behind them, what the future may hold, and the trails around town.

Jackson's Beat

For my beat I plan on covering the bar scene and the nightlife in Fort Collins. That would include any celebrities that are coming to town, big events, controversy, police involvment, economics and anything else revolving around Fort Collins nightlife.
For my first story I plan on doing a story about the visiting youtube sensation Antoine Dodson and perhaps discussing how it is he became famous and getting reactions from people about how the feel about someone who like him becoming instantly wealthy.

Derek Nettingham..My Topic/Beat

I will be covering events and organizations on campus related to diversity on CSU's campus. I feel like a lot of things occur under the radar that not may people know about when it comes to diveristy at this school so hopefully I can get some interviews from organization leaders and go to events on campus that are diversity based. I will also go to the advocacy offices and see what I can find there.
